Description

I'll be revamping and editing Foy soon~

Name: Foy Harpel

Age: 24 (March 28 (Started as 23)

Code: FH-6991

Gender: Male

Height: 5'3 (changed because i think Foy is cute short ;v; )

Department: Technology

Personality:

Foy is quiet, so quiet that some people think that he's a ghost when they first meet him. The reason why he's quiet is because most of the time he doesn't know what to say; he's also quite shy.

This, however, gives him time to observe. He is curious, innocently blunt, and will speak out once in a while to those who are close to him.

He always want to take things apart to find out how they work. Of course, he knows where to draw the line, preferring people not to get angry at him or hate him. Foy is very eager to please and hardworking. If something isn't working by the time he's done tinkering with it, he won't sleep till it does.

He's also mostly independent, but he doesn't mind help. (As long as they know what they're doing.)

Foy's expression doesn't usually change from looking sleeping, and his voice is usually monotone. To make him lose his temper would be considered a talent, especially if it's a comment about how he looks like a kid.

Bio:

Foy's parents were both professionals, his father a well known scientist in China, his home country, and his mother a genius in technology. His mother absolutely loved technology, creating things that were ahead of her time. The two met when Foy's mother needed a scientist to test out one of her inventions. It wasn't love at first sight; the two were constantly arguing and absolutely hated working with each other. But somehow they fell in love, got married, and had a child.

They named him Foy, which meant: "A Journey" in Irish. Foy was a beautiful baby, but was born thin and with a hearing problem. (This was easily fixed with a hearing aid.)

His parents both retired and moved to Indenvale, his mother becoming a regular housewife while his father, a science teacher. It was peaceful.

However, time after, Foy's mother became strangely sick, and became bedridden. Foy's father took time off from teaching to take care of her, calling doctor after doctor to heal her. But it got worse, the sickness unfamiliar to them. They could only prescribe pain medication. Foy's mother died in her sleep a few days later.

Foy's father became incredibly depressed, but tried to suppress it when he found Foy playing with sharp objects that were left out. He didn't allow his son to go outside, becoming overly protective of Foy. He was afraid Foy would be exposed to the sickness his mother had -if it was still out there.

Foy didn't mind. In fact, he didn't notice anything strange about this. He had absolutely no desire to go outside, preferring to tinker with wires, computers, and make things. Foy's father was overjoyed that his son had taken after his mother and often brought scraps from school for Foy to use.

At age eight, Foy saw a lady walking up and down the hallways of his house. She wore a long white gown, had blonde hair, and a gentle, motherly smile on her face. He thought it was strange that someone other than his father and himself were in his house, and asked what she was doing.

The lady did not give him a reason, but instead told him how to do different things with his talents in technology. She taught him how to hack, fix, and build. The lady also taught Foy how to read, write in cursive, to spell difficult words and would often recite whole textbooks to the child. Foy was fascinated with everything he was being taught, and memorized all the key points.

Foy decided later on to test the skills he had learned from, "The Pretty Lady" as he referred to her, and hacked into a Governments' computer system. It was easy to him from the lady's guidance, and within a few hours about a hundred of their computers had broken down from due to viruses. Satisfied, he went to the scraps that his father brought home for him the previous day, and started building something the "Pretty Lady" had described to him.

He showed his father when the man finally came home and hoped that he would like it, but all Foy got was a strange stare. His father asked him where he learned to build it and the boy answered, “The pretty lady did.” Foy then went on to describing what she looked like and pointed behind his father to tell him where she was. “She’s right there.”

He told his father all the things that he could do and all the things that he did do. His father’s reaction was once again not the reaction he was hoping for. He watched as the older man’s face turned slightly troubled and frowned when he was told that he couldn’t do those things any more. Foy sat on the couch, unable to do anything as he watched his father lock his things away.

The next day, his father left him with things like video game consoles, remotes, and old cell phones to play with. Foy took them apart and put them back together before repeating the process. It got boring after two hours and he was sprawled out amidst parts from the cell phones when the pretty lady appeared above him. The lady taught him how to undo the locks and break into the closet where his father held his things, reassuring Foy that it was okay.

When his father came home, he was shocked to see that Foy was sitting in front of the things that he had locked up. Foy explained that the pretty lady told him it was okay to undo the locks. His father didn’t get angry at him, but he told him to not open the locks without his permission next time.

However, over the next few weeks, Foy would always be in front of the things that his father had locked up. “I didn’t do it this time,” Foy would explain, “The pretty lady took it out herself.”

His father decided to call a doctor to see if anything was wrong with Foy mentally. However, the doctor found nothing wrong. Foy's father called another doctor and that doctor also found nothing wrong. Foy's father became angry. They were like this with his wife too!

He became so angry that as the doctor was exiting the house, he took a kitchen knife and stabbed him several dozen times in the back.

It was Foy's birthday, and he had just turned nine years old.

Foy was in shock as he watched the dead, bloodied body collapse to the ground with a squelch. The blood oozed out, barely reaching his feet. He watched as his father picked up the body and dragged it away, barely hearing him say to clean up the mess on the floor. Foy quickly grabbed a mop and started cleaning the large blood spot on the floor, and the splatter of blood that was on the walls.

Foy had become more withdrawn and quiet after this. He barely talked to his father and only talked when it was absolutely necessary. He kept to himself, often staying in his room. He now wore a metaphorical mask and barely paid attention to the “pretty lady” that followed him around.

Eventually, the neighbors were able to smell the stench of a human body rotting, and called the cops on Foy's father. They searched through the house, but Foy, who was ordered by his father to stay in a secret basement, was never found. A small number pad found near Foy's father's laptop could access the basement. It looked like a regular number pad and the entrance to the basement was camouflaged to look like a large painting.

Foy stayed as silent as possible when he heard the footsteps and voices of the policemen in his house. He held his knees to his chest, closed his eyes tightly, and rocked himself back and forth, hoping that the policemen would go away soon. Suddenly, from the corner of his eye, he saw a white cloth, and he jerked to the left in surprise. The "pretty lady" was smiling comfortingly at him, telling him that everything was going to be alright.

The "pretty lady" told him how to undo all the locks on the house and told him to never come back. Foy wouldn't listen. He didn't want to do that. He was still waiting for his father. Foy still cared for his father despite the fact that he murdered someone. He was the only family member he had left. The boy stubbornly waited near the front door, ignoring the "pretty lady's" pleas to go.

Two weeks went by like a rocket and Foy realized that his father really wasn't going to come back. He didn't have much belongings and only packed the clothes he could carry. He threw in some wires and his favorite portable inventions before he undid the locks.

It was his first step in the outside world.

He didn’t know how long he walked or where he was, but his legs were definitely about to fall off and it was definitely super dark. Foy spotted a bench at the side of the road and decided to rest there. He was about to fall asleep when a bus pulled up to the side and let a couple off. Foy quickly tried to scramble away, afraid to interact with people. However, the couple noticed him immediately and approached him before he was able to escape. They asked him questions like, “Why are you out this late?” and, “Where are your parents?”

Foy just looked down at his feet, unable to summon his voice. He fidgeted slightly when his stomach growled and he flinched away when the woman moved to hold hand. He stared up at the woman and she smiled warmly at him, just like how the “pretty lady” would.

“Do you want to come to our house to eat?” They asked him. Foy nodded hesitantly and moved his hands behind his back, not comfortable with skin contact. The couple didn’t seem to mind and allowed Foy to walk between them.

Foy’s head was turning constantly, studying all the signs, cars, buildings, and people. There were many things that drew in his curiosity, and often the couple had to hold Foy back from wandering off. They finally arrived at the couple’s apartment. Foy stood stiff as a board at the entrance, but after a few minutes of reassurances from the couple, he finally gave in and entered the unit.

It was a nice, clean home.

Foy ended up staying with the couple for years after that night. He told them that both of his parents were dead and that none of his relatives were willing to take him after they bugged him to tell them about himself. (He wasn't about to tell them that his father killed someone and was dragged to jail.) The couple would bug him for literally hours until he finally opened up. After that, they couldn't let the boy go and apparently they loved children in general, so they kept him.

Foy didn't get as close to the couple as they would have liked, but he did slowly tell them what he liked to do, what foods he liked to eat, and other random things.

The couple had discovered Foy's love for technology one day when the boy couldn't hold back tinkering with a broken remote. After they discovered his talent in tech, a few days later, they found Foy's attention on something that they couldn't see. They didn't seem to mind though; in fact, they were happy that they found such a unique child.

When Foy finally turned sixteen, the couple had a baby. The teenager told the couple that he would live on his own now, because he didn't want to disturb their family time. The couple tried to persuade Foy to stay, but he was very adamant in his decision. So they compromised, telling him that he'd have to live nearby and give contact information.

Foy was perfectly fine with that.

The couple had mentioned just before the teen left, that he might like this place called 'Litetower'. However, Foy didn't seem to pay attention to it at the time.

At age 22, the rumors going around about Litetower seemed to become more noticeable to the male. He decided to go and take a look out of plain curiosity. He found himself looking around the lobby, clearly doubting that they were just a Research and Development office.

He would repeatedly go back to the sleek skyscraper, trying to figure out what was so off about the place. As he walked out from the building and through a park, which was a shortcut to get to his house, he saw the 'pretty lady' watching a group of people. They were around his age -possibly a little older. The 'pretty lady' caught sight of him and waved him over.

Foy complied and hid himself behind a tree. He listened to them for quite a while, learning quickly who they were. They worked for Litetower. They were talking about the paranormal, the things they'd have to fight. It interested Foy very much.

He wasn't very good in fighting, but he could see the paranormal. After years of seeing the 'pretty lady,' he knew she wasn't actually alive. But how would he approach the group of people?

Suddenly, he felt a gentle push against his back, but it was rough enough that he was pushed out into the open. Foy became stiff at all the eyes that were set on him and as soon as they walked towards him, his mouth moved automatically telling them what he could do.

The members of the group smiled at him and asked him for his age. Right after he did, one of them told him to wait a year and he would be able to apply, giving him a more in-depth description of what they did.

Foy knew by the end of the day that he wanted to join.

Additional Info:

-He doesn't know it, but the pretty lady is his mom.

-Because he didn't have much time to be a child, he's fascinated with plush toys and childish things even though he's an adult.

-His Panda Bag holds many things and every day it holds something different. Nobody knows where he gets what he has in his Panda Bag, but often the things he puts in there are very useful throughout the day.

-He makes his own clothes and he's very good at it, but he doesn't necessarily LIKE doing it.

-His eyes aren't naturally purple -those are contacts; he has bad eyesight and he doesn't want to wear glasses. His eyes are a light blue color.

-He has no social skills and his emotional expressions are limited. Because of this, he finds it very hard to make friends -although he wants one.

-He can't hear out of one of his ears (birth defect) but it got fixed with a hearing aid. The hearing aid actually has more than one use -such as hearing frequencies nobody else can hear and muting the sound around him so he can't hear everyone's complaints.

-His hearing aid is covered by hair, so people don't normally know it's there.

-He made his own cell phone and music player.

-He gets very irritated when people doubt his age because it happens too often.

-He doesn't get scared of almost anything. The only thing that makes him hyperventilate is blood.

-He's not the type to spill out his whole life story. Actually, he'll like you better if you just DON'T ask.
